Today, computers enable us to key endlessly, without the slightest hesitation. Job expectations and the flow of work encouraged just that. Deadlines dominate production quotas and schedules exert new pressures on masses of people.
At work, we can go for hours without stepping away from the computer, whether it be a pc, laptop or tablet, unless it is absolutely necessary – toilet break, get the umpteenth cup of coffee, otherwise we are hypnotized by the screen either doing the task at hand, emails, social media or just surfing the net. Working this way not only drains our energy but also affects our ability to focus and keep us from being most productive.
In truth, we are spending too much time glued to our screens. But the sad reality, all this TECHNOLOGY is play havoc with our health.
